The wire’s ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) insulation is rated at 302°F vs standard marine wire at 220°F.
 
Tefzel wire is commonly used in Aerospace, Avionics, and IndyCars where weight, dimensional tolerance, and mechanical durability are required.
 
Tefzel also is more resistant to not only marine-related oxidization but also fuels, lubricating oils, and many other chemicals.
