Our Buckshot Racing #77 leak-proof  1/2 ORB (O-Ring Boss) fittings (power trim pump side) are recommended by the N.F.P.A. for leak prevention in medium and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
 
They have the same straight threads as JIC 37° fittings but are sealed on an o-ring, which is considered the best type of seal for leakage.
 
On the hose side, select:
 
#3 - A solid stout brass #3 SAE inverted flare hydraulic fitting with a 3/8-24 (threads per inch) straight connection.
 
#4 - A solid stout brass #4 SAE inverted flare hydraulic fitting with a 7/16-24 (threads per inch) thread connection.

A seal is created when the hydraulic trim pump hose fitting flare is compressed onto the female's flare seat. These are built to withstand vibration and the higher demands of boat races and offshore racing conditions.
 
We also use screens in our fittings (like the original Kiekhaefer Mercury Race pumps) to protect critical components from damage that can be caused by contamination and/or particles entering the pump body.
