Tilt and trim systems allow you to optimize the performance of your boat by adjusting the angle of the engine, which in turn adjusts the running surface of the boat's hull while on or attempting to get on plane.

Universal Trim Switches are a versatile and reliable trim control solution for boats, designed to enhance ease of operation. This compact and waterproof switch allows boaters to adjust the trim of their outboard or stern drive engines with precision.
They are designed with durability and ease of installation in mind. It is completely sealed for waterproof performance, preventing corrosion and water damage.
With its three-wire design (black, green, and white), it is compatible with most outboard and inboard trim systems. The switch is rated for 12V DC power, making it a universal fit for various boat models.
Proper wiring is essential for the functionality of the TH Marine ST3 trim switch. The wiring configuration is as follows: Green wire – Trim up function, White wire – Trim down function, Black wire – 12V power supply. These must be matched to trim wiring on your trim motor, for instance; Blue is up for sky, Green is down for earch, and Red is 12v power.
Before installation, it’s recommended to verify the wire functions using a multimeter to ensure compatibility with your boat's electrical system.
Installation Guide
Installing a universal trim switch is straightforward. First, disconnect the boat’s battery to avoid accidental electrical short circuits. Locate a convenient mounting spot, ensuring easy access while operating the boat. Connect the wires according to the diagram provided by your boat manufacturer’s manual. Secure the switch using screws or adhesive mounts, and test the trim function before sealing the installation.
Boaters occasionally experience issues with their trim switch, including non-responsive trim adjustments or intermittent operation. If the trim switch is not working correctly, a faulty 12V power supply may cause the switch to malfunction. Also, check the wiring connections for loose or corroded terminals, solinoids, relays, and trim pump motors to isolate the issue.
