This Stainless Steel Mercury Race Cowl Base Plate is a replacement part for the "No Longer Available" (NLA) factory Mercury Marine / Mariner PLATE OEM part number 8221881 which had a final MSRP of $363.12.
 
Mercury and Quicksilver manufactured the part between 1980 and 2005 for the lightweight racing cowls found on the 225 Pro Max,  245 HP, 260 ROS, 300 Drag, SST-120, SST-140, Champ, F1, and S3000. This is a replacement part for all those cowls including 2.0, 2.4, and 2.5 Liters.
