This 32-piece Mercury Racing Light Weight Aluminum Flywheel Rebuild Bolt Kit replaces the eight (8) Mercury Flywheel Center Hub Screws / Bolts, twelve (12) outer bolts and twelve (12) mil-spec jet nuts.
 
The center hub bolts are ASTM B633 Type II Zinc plating that provides a colorful yellow chromate that is corrosion-resistant with a minimum 96-hour salt spray.
 
The outer flexplate sandwich Socket Head Cap Screws are an ASME B18.3 standard, finished in black oxide with a minimum tensile strength of 170,000 psi.
 
The outer jet nuts are self-locking, hexagon-style steel nuts with a thread size of 0.19 in. They have a cadmium and chromate surface treatment, a soluble lubricant, and a prevailing torque all-metal locking feature.
 
It's recommended to individually remove and replace each bolt separately without dissembling the hub and flexplate. Do this in a star pattern, one at a time. The center bolts should be torqued 20 ft-lbs with a drop of RED 271 Loctite. The outer bolts torq to 25 inch-lbs.
 
This kit includes thirty-two (32) fasteners for the Mercury Racing Light-Weight Aluminum 16 AMP Flywheels and is rated at 170K psi tensile strength, 20K psi stronger than Grade 8.
